Laurel Park Maryland, Horse Race Results.
As one of the closest horse racing tracks to Washington, DC. Laurel Park has a pretty big draw for me. The drive to Maryland isn't always too bad, either.The directions are simple enough. From DC, it is north on 95, and then you get off at the Laurel Park exit and follow the signs.
Here was my big bet of the evening. I took #5 Noteable ridden by Ryan Fogelsonger in the 8th to show. Granted it was a show bet, which isn't really a huge money earner. But I had a considerable ammount of money on it. It was a night of longshots and I didn't really win much else. I had a good time though, and I used crappshead's free tickets.
The food there sucks, though. I like the food at Charlestown in West Virginia much more.

Back in D.C. & Seabiscuit
My friend just got free tickets for the Laurel Park racetrack in Maryland for going to see Seabiscuit. (Of course, Charlestown is free, but then they expect you to lose money playing the Charles Town Slot Machines in the Casino.)
So I will probably go see the movie, too. He said it was good, and I trust his judgement.

Horse Races in Maryland, skipping West Virignia.
I am still out of the country, but when I return, I am going to skip the Charlestown (Charles Town) race course in West Virginia and instead go to Laurel Park in Maryland. The other race course close to Washington, D.C.
I’m sure it will be mobbed with people since the release of Sea Biscuit on the 25th of July, but if I go during the 30th maybe the good people of the world will be working (and since the U.S. economy hasn’t been doing as well as the rumours report overseas, nobody has been pounding on my door for a computer programmer)
I haven’t made it to a betting shoppe here for a flutter (you have to love English English), but I’ll see what I can do and have a full report.
